Our aim
We want Little Locals to be easy for every parent and carer to use, including people who use a screen reader, keyboard, voice control, zoom or larger text. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
This statement was prepared on 5 November 2026 from our own review of the site.
What we've done
- Everything on the map is also listed as text, so you never need the map to find a listing.
- All buttons, dropdowns and the age box have labels for screen readers, and everything works with a keyboard.
- A "Skip to content" link at the top of each page, and clear focus outlines as you tab through.
- Text and buttons are checked for colour contrast, and the page reflows on small screens and at 200% zoom.
- Moving effects (like the sparkle and shine) switch off if your device is set to reduce motion.
- Plain-English wording throughout, with days, times, ages and costs spelled out on every card.
Known limitations
- The map itself is hard to use with a screen reader. Please use the list of cards below it, which has the same information.
- Booking and venue pages we link to belong to other organisations, so we can't promise they're accessible.
- Some listings are sent in as posters or screenshots, and we type up the details as text rather than showing the image.
Tell us about a problem
If something on Little Locals is hard to use, or you need information in another format, email littlelocals@tenzing.ie. Tell us the page and what happened, and we'll aim to reply within 5 working days and fix what we can.
